Book Besties Visit Northside Elementary

Reader’s EDGE is our flagship program, serving over 350 children each month. Book Besties visit PreK, Kindergarten, 1st Grade and 2nd Grade Classrooms each month. During their visit they bring a book to read, do a short activity and then give each child a copy of the book to keep. Helping kids have access to books outside of school is one way we help give kids and families an EDGE. Strong literacy skills begin at home and strong literacy skills lead to academic success which leads to opportunities.
